Your cropping is not poorly done in any way, but it also doesn't stand out uniquely. Even your 4th icon, which is definitely the most adventurous of the bunch, has a limited dynamic to it.
COLOR → 8
You have a good sense of colour and it seems to translate well to both animated and real-subject icons, which is a tricky balance to achieve. I think they could be a bit brighter, especially in the 1st and 5th icons, but that's a personal preference.
ORIGINALITY → 5
I think the originality is your biggest area to work on at the moment. The icons you make are good, but there's nothing distinctive about them. They could be made by anyone.

coloring : 6 : some of your colors a little too "one color" (i.e. icons 3 and 4)
style : 7 : i like the manga coloring and the general structure you have
overall : 7 : try experimenting more color fill layering to play other colors against each other so you get more of a varient and range on icons like 3 and 4

coloring (hue/balance/etc type coloring) 4. sometimes your coloring is very nice, but other times it's honestly terrible.
coloring (manga coloring) - 6. you use nice colors but the way you shade and screen some parts of an image and not others doesn't always match up right.
originality - 7. your stock icons could be more original.
icons overall - 6.5.

Your first three icons are exceptionally cropped, and it really makes the subjects shine. Your 4th and 5th sort of default back to a more standard face-crop, but they maintain the same overall quality, just a plainer look.
COLOR → 7
Your live subject colouring is really attractive, and I like the colour focus in the first one especially. You choose good lighting that works with the subjects.
ORIGINALITY → 5
The icons you've shown here are lovely, but I find them very simplistic, almost overly so. You obviously have a great technique but (again, at least from these samples) you don't seem to be applying it beyond bare measure. I think showing a bit more extravagance would really liven them up. :)
OVERALL → 8
Basically I have no specific critique but I also think you could do so much more with your icons (not very helpful, I know) so I guess, just experiment?

i have to agree with the above-- your cropping is fantastic but the last two aren't like... well, the first two. they are both amazing-- especially the second. (and the icon you're using now!)

i'm a sucker for this type of coloring, i'll admit. it's especially good on the third-- i love the tints you have going on.
ORIGINALITY: 7
this is where i disagree with the above. looking at your other icons, you icon a lot of things most people probably wouldn't. i'd much rather have this simple thing you have going on because this type is coloring is made for that. and tbh, i'd rather have overly simple than overly busy.

coloring : 8 : i love the vibrance in your coloring, especially on number 2, 3 and 5
style : 7 : not too fond of some of the texture choices, but they work for their respect icons
overall : 8 : you have a very good eye for what makes a good icon, but maybe try using less texture like on 1 and 2

For the texture part, do you mean where I used a white brush on some parts of the icons? Since I didn't use any actual textures one those icons, that's what I'm assuming.
If so, I had been wondering if I was overdoing it. xD

I definitely like your cropping style, it brings the subject into focus and still lets your background choices bring it together.

Okay, I'm a bit of two minds here. On one hand, you have really amazing manga colouring skill. The middle three icons are definitely evidence of that (and omg Nai) but then you add that extra layer on top that just kills the vibrancy of the colouring! T_T I mean, you take the time to bring a black and white to life and then make it dull again... I would say the overlay really only works in the 3rd icon. In the 2nd and 4th, it ends up detracting from it.

The example icons you've shown above are great but have no complexity. Your style relies more on colouring than textures or the like, but a blending of the two could certainly liven them up a bit.
OVERALL → 8
Overall your icons are very good and with all the elements drawn together you do have a distinct style.

this is probably your strongest point. I see you working with the original picture to find a crop that looks good and you do a good job at it.
coloring → 7
your coloring isn't bad persay, but you do use a lot of grey. grey isn't a bad thing but I think when iconists use it on every icon it gets a little boring. Maybe mix it up a little bit?
original → 8
You can tell that your stuff is your own and it looks like you're sticking to your own style. Your manga coloring reminds me a little bit of other iconists but I think that might just be the popular coloring style right now?
