[Tsk. Tsk. TSK. Joker has his hands behind his back and a very put upon frown on his face. It looks, rather horrifically, like he's literally flipped his smile upside down. This is the point at which most people pass out from fear.]
Oh I try and try and sometimes you succeed--haHA--and it's good! [Like flipping a switch he's jubilant in both voice and face, arms in the air and leaning just a bit too close. Then his expression falls again.] But then you fail me...again.
[And in a flash he's upright all the way and meandering away at a gentle saunter.]
Now, why, why, oh why do you think that is? Could it be me, I wonder? [He presses his hand to his chest and looks up at the sky dramatically, rhetorically.] Is it my fault, did I fail you?
No. [We're back to that dark look only now it's more angry than sad.] No, of course not. Just who do you think I am?
So then it must be you.

Not my fault!
[Then he spits it out, straining against his binds, voice hoarse from the long day of shit he's tired of going through,]
And it's Robin.

Still--killing him, not the point. No, no.
Joker seethes for a moment and pulls back, speaking sweetly. His hand is still on it.]
Son, what can I say, I'm disappointed. I truly am.
What would your worthless mother say, if she heard you spouting off language like that? And in this house.
Tsk.
Tsk.
Tsk.
[Have a sweet, apologetic smile before he just sort of flips it like a light-switch.]
You're forcing me to do this, Junior. Really, it hurts me more than...well...probably not--HeeheeheeHa--but you get the idea.

Got the language of a gent. [Tim's face scrunches up in a mean look, fighting against stiff muscles and sore cheeks. He's never going to accept the name trying to be forced upon him.] And better a bat than a-
[Tim's screaming.
He wants to endure. He wishes he could. He's mad that he can't. Maybe if dad Joker hadn't upped the volts from yesterday.]

[He casually flips the switch off and ambles back over. His smile is all charm and mildly disaffected chiding.]
Now, was that so hard?
[He leans on the table and just peers down at Tim, like the friendly father figure he's trying to be.]
I got to wonder...just where is that...oh...what's his name--the fellow you keep trying to emulate, Junior. That bad seed.
Oh, yes. [His voice and expression drop simultaneously for just the one word. The utter contempt in it cannot be captured.]
Batman.
Just where is he? Or his lackeys?
Not here.

He's... [A gasp for breath, a giggle. Tim slumps, the back of his head thudding against metal.] He's...
[Not gonna make it here in time. How long has it been now? Tim needs to get himself out of this mess. Stop both Joker and Harley before they can do more damage, then call for backup. Easy plan.
Easier said than done. But Tim can do it! Really, he can. He has to.]
