Bazooka Bazooka

This particular post concerns Katekyo Hitman Reborn, one of our more dense populations of fandom. Specifically, Lambo (to_ler_ate) here. Or to be properly specific, a nifty and complex little gadget of Lambo's known as the Ten-Year-Bazooka. (Sorry about the wait, Lambo-mun.)

Unlike a normal bazooka, those shot by the Ten-Year Bazooka are not killed/mortally wounded/whatever happens when they are shot by a normal bazooka, but catapulted ten years into the future, while their future selves are pulled back to the present. This lasts for five minutes exactly, barring equipment malfunction - there's been the occasional filler where it de-ages the targets or just switches the minds... but let's stick with the regular function for now. (Also should mention - don't worry about your character being shot if you hate time travel. Like murder, robbery, and other such fun antics, consent by the mun is required.)

So yep, you get to play your decade-older character around for five glorious WTF-filled minutes, whereupon they switch back to the future, poofing the old present self back in the past with five minutes of possible wacky story of their own. (They'll be in the exact same place as the self they switched with, but wearing their own clothes.)

This, by the way, is ten years in Memento Eden rather than ten years in canon, so there's a lot of tasty tasty time travel fun we've had to work out, hence why it took us quite this long to hammer out. The future is a fluid concept, and based upon the most likely outcome. Possibly. Time travel is weird. To put the good old tl;dr on my rambling, this is what Memento Eden will look like ten years from now.

- Mysteeeeeriously, nobody will have gained any memories in that span of time. This is not to say that nobody will be gaining any memories from now on. In the most recent future seen, the most recent memories gained in both past and future will be the same.

- Memento will have grown - nobody will have left, but more NPCs will have arrived. No example needed here, it'll just be a noticeably more bustling place - more unspecified people, more unspecified stores, possibly more monuments if PCs make them, wider roads, different decor in some places... Just think about your hometown ten years back, then think about it today. That kinda difference.

- Most importantly, changes in the present effect the future.

Also, this post will serve as a general info post for timeline changes. Any significant things of note/changes you'd like to have out there - Laharl's gonna blow up the town hall next week, Medusa and Phoenix will be tying the knot next spring, Ed will go 'round the bend in five years and transmute the town hall into a giant robot, ect ect? Comment with 'em here, as well as with any questions.

(Also, please do not blow up the town hall or transmute it into a giant robot without getting mod permission. Or plan to have someone else's characters get hitched to yours/killed in a spectacular history-making accident/turned into a llama forever/ect ect in the future without getting permission from the other party.)

lambo, don't blow up town hall, bazooka, announcement
