Tanabata Ball
The town of Memento Eden would like to cordially invite you all, on Tuesday, July 7, to the
MEMENTO EDEN TANABATA BALL
The ball log will go up, as stated, on Tuesday, July 7. The log will remain open for the following week. Now, there are a few things to take note of:
-Everyone who comes to the ball will receive 1% of his or her memories for attending. This will be known ICly, as a motivation for people to attend. The memories will be awarded once the ball is over.
-Everyone who attends the ball will also receive an item from his or her home. Again, this will be known ICly as a motivation for people to attend. The items will, like the memories, be awarded once the ball is over. (The characters will not ICly know what they are getting back until they actually receive their items, however.)
-On that note, we ask you to comment here with which characters will be attending (and if they'll be alone or going with someone) and what item you would like them to get back. This is to avoid people asking for unreasonable items, such as Athrun getting one of his two Gundams. Lost items aren't eligible, obviously.
-At the ball, there will also be a contest for best couples. This will extend beyond people that go together and encompass couples that formed at the ball, too. Voting will begin once the ball log ends, and will last for four days. The top ten (tentative; the final number of winners depends on the number of couples we get) couples will each receive memories (actual amount, again, to be determined once all votes are in) along with special prizes (you don't get a say in these).
-Can people go to the ball alone? Of course! They just won't be eligible for the couples voting unless they hook up with other characters at the ball.
-Being for Tanabata, the ball has a more Eastern theme compared to the last one we had. So expect Eastern style decorations, food, and whatnot. NOTE: Do not take this as meaning you can only dress characters up in yukatas -- they are free to wear whatever formal wear they deem appropriate for the occasion. (For example, all of my characters will likely wear either suits or fancy uniforms).
-Unlike last time, there will be no punishment for the characters who fail to attend. This time, Memento Eden is rewarding the attendees instead of punishing those who failed to attend.
