What: Colette and Terra begin the search for Fruffums the kitty, and Erk finally explains why they're not gonna find him.
Where: Outside, near the Ari Apartments

Terra wasn't so sure about the name that Colette had given the kitten, but it was better than nothing. She had been thinking of names for him as well, but hadn't wanted to confuse him if he really was someone else's pet and already had a perfectly good name.

She was happy that so many people were kind enough to look for the lost kitten, and that Colette had joined her to search. She smiled gently at Colette. "I'm sure he'll be fine. We'll find him."

At Terra's words, Colette nodded, borrowing some of that optimism. She already felt much better, truth be told. It helped to be searching with a friend. "You're right!" Her smile then turned a bit sheepish, and she looked around again. "But I wonder where we should start looking..." She'd only arrived less than a week before, and hadn't seen all of the town yet. Or couldn't remember everything from what Lloyd had shown her. That wasn't counting the big forest she first arrived in, either.

"Do you think we should split up?" she asked, turning towards her companion.

"Well... when I first saw him, it was inside the apartments. So we could try looking around the building." She really had no idea where to begin, but the area around the Ari Apartments was as good a start as any.

Splitting up might be a good idea, but Terra was happy to have a friend to search with. "We could. There are a lot of people looking for him, though, so maybe it would be best if we stuck together."

"Okay. I'd be glad to search with you!" Less chances to get lost herself, and she would get to talk with Terra while they were looking. They both sounded like good plans to Colette.

"Oh, I didn't realize others were looking for Fruffums." Her eyes lit up at the thought once they began the search. They'd find him in no time now! "I guess a lot of people are worried about him, too."

Hmmm.... well, bushes were good places to hide cats, right? There were quite a few lined up against the base of the building, and Colette quietly approached them. "Fruffums? Are you there?" She used her best calming voice, hoping that might be enough to entice him out in the event he was hiding. When nothing happened, she bent down a little to check for herself. Just in case.

A few moments later she stood up, brushing some dirt off her outfit. "Nope! He's not here."
