Who: Mikuru and Trunks What: Mikuru lost her journal and asks Trunks for help Where: Trunks' room and then Mikuru's room When: August 5th Warnings: Awkward high school romantic comedy type things
Trunks was lying on his bed, reading a book he had checked out from the library. He was currently on call at the moment, so he was trying to remain in his room.
And sure enough, the sound of knocking came from the closed door at the other end of the room. However, this time, it was followed by a timid voice that Trunks knew all too well. Immediately, Trunks grabbed his bookmark, inserted it into the book, leaped off the bed, headed over to the door, and opened it.
Trunks wasn't sure what to say himself. This would be the first time since the ball that he had spoken to Mikuru -- she had been strangely quiet for some time. For a while, he couldn't help but wonder if he had done something wrong, and now those feelings had resurfaced. His stomach tied itself in knots as he asked, "What's wrong?"
Mikuru gave a slight jump when Trunks answered, taking a step back from the door and looking around nervously. When he opened the door, her face immediately went pale, then red, as a lump formed in her throat. She tried stumbling over some words, but nothing that really made any sense came out. After an awkward spilling of nonsense, she lowered her head and then took a deep breath.
With a renewed calm, she raised her head with a smile. "H-Hello, Trunks." She wasn't sure what else to actually say. Why had she even come in the first place again?
"O-Oh!" Mikuru gasped with a shocked expression. "U-Um, well..." She averted her gaze, flushing with embarrassment. "U-Um, I... lost my journal a while a-and I haven't been able to find it..." Keeping her head down, she moved her eyes to look up at him. "A-And, u-um, well, I was wondering if... Well, if you weren't busy with anything... A-And if you didn't mind... Would you help me look for it?"
