It was a beautiful day, and Jr. was taking advantage of it. Winter would be here before anyone knew it, and he wanted to spend as much time outside enjoying the last days of warm weather before they were gone.
Nall had been wanting to go fishing, and Jr. had finally agreed. The fish weren't biting, though, so he had flopped onto his back, laying with his arms behind his head. He watched the clouds lazily drift in the sky, feeling content for the first time in a while.
Nall hovered above the lake, peering intently down into the waters. Weren't there fish ANYWHERE around here? Geez. And Red was not being helpful, the lazy bum. But, he seemed happy again, so that was something. Nall wondered if that tree would ever recover from the barrage of bullets...
The not-flying-cat flew back over to his friend, landing next to him. "Geez, what the heck? Did someone fish this place clean? There's nothing anywhere! Don't they know I'm hungry?"
Kurai stopped once she noticed two of her friends. A dazed look she’d had while walking turned into a smile. “Hey!” she shouted to get their attention while waving both arms above her head. “What are you doing there?” She ran towards them.
By the time she reached the two, Kurai saw the fishing pole, “Are they not biting?” She asked playfully. If the frustrated look on Nall’s… face had any indication- the fish were not interested in getting caught.
Jr. turned his head to watch Kurai run to join them, but he didn't sit up. He was too comfortable. "Nah, looks like the fish are much happier in the lake instead of Nall's stomach." He went back to watching the clouds, smirking a bit. "Can you blame them?"
