"Huh?" Athrun had been daydreaming for a bit as he walked, a cup of water in his hand. Unfortunately for him, that cup was tainted with a trace amount of alcohol. As a result, he found him standing at this now-open building.

Weird, he thought. This isn't where I was trying to go. Must have been daydreaming a bit too much. He looked around, and at the sight of the place, decided he'd best stay. As a member of law enforcement, he figured it would be best if someone stayed around to make sure that the celebration and subsequent drunken revelry did not go bad.

Ginko had wandered in after having some...interesting-tasting tea in his apartment, wondering if the party was still continuing, and he perked up when he saw that it indeed was. At first, the absence of familiar faces made him realize that the usual crowd he ran into at these kinds of gatherings wouldn't be here from now on. It was hard, however, to hold the weight in his heart with the noise and celebration happening within a few feet of him anywhere he walked in the building-turned-pub. Well, only one thing left to do. He ordered one for himself ( ... )

"Yes, that's right," Athrun replied. "Pardon me for asking, but how many drinks have you had?"

"Eh? Aah, don't worry," Ginko said, holding up his pint, "I've been here for a good while, and just started my third."

Oh well. Can't always count on a good first impression, he thought to himself. Normally he'd feel more embarrassed, but alcohol tends to suppress such emotions, and strengthen feelings of confidence. He gave Athrun a blissful grin, another rare facial expression for the man.

((I'd love for Ginko to NOT get thrown out if possible ahahaha XD r-really))

It really was a bit of a shame that the festival should fall during his planned auditions for "Sleeping Beauty". Ren couldn't decide whether to postpone the auditions or not, though if he was honest with himself, he'd prefer not to go ahead with them if people were going to show up either tipsy or mostly drunk.

Ren sighed quietly, shaking his head in disapproval as he raised his mug for another refill. Frankly, beer was not the actor's choice of beverage - he would have preferred something fancier, like a good wine - but he wasn't going to be terribly finicky if the alcohol came free.

It wasn't precisely awful, either, and though the building was noisy, there were plenty of amusing sights to take in. Maybe he could even incorporate some of these antics into a future play.

There was no better way to spend an evening than a romantic dinner with a boyfriend. Except there was no dinner at all. Not to mention the boyfriend. Nevertheless, Misa was having fun - in her opinion, if one couldn't have what they wanted, they should just enjoy what they had.

... Maybe she was enjoying the alcohol a little too much.

"Why such a long face on a wonderful night like this~?" Misa exclaimed at Ren's sight, swinging an empty mug enthusiastically.

"Hmm?" Ren blinked, turning his attention away from the mug in his hands to the girl in front of him. Certainly women were a little more interesting than half-empty containers.

Ren smiled up at her. It wasn't precisely one of his fake smiles, but it was probably at least mostly brought on by the drinks he had already consumed.

"Ah... Well I suppose it would be a wonderful night if there were more charming young ladies such as yourself around to keep the rest of us company."

Oh dear, Ren. What was he trying to do with a line like that?

Finally, a real gentleman! Surely it was Misa's dream come true. Maybe she would even blush a little... if it wasn't for the fact her cheeks were already pretty rosy. So instead, she just snickered.

"You think so?" She asked, patting Ren on the shoulder. "You're a lucky guy, then! Misa-Misa will accompany you tonight~!"

There was no subtext included. Honestly.

"Oy, Hibari-kun," Ginko called out to Hibari, grinning widely. After talking to enough people here, he'd pinned down the magic that had befallen the town. Hibari hadn't come here because he'd thought of it himself.

He looked around, found an empty bar stool, and dragged it loudly across the floor for him.

"Join me?"

It wasn't even next to a table.

Hesitation. "Are you drinking?" Ginko asked before he addressed anything else Hibari'd just said. What happened when Hibari drank, again? ... Surely, he wouldn't do that here. Of course. They were in the middle of a bunch of strangers, plus a handful of friends. Ginko pushed the worries aside.

Teasing. "I know I do. Try it out for a bit longer and see how you like it. Also, you didn't complain when I tried it out the first time," he pointed out, and then coughed to cut off that particular train of thought, look some other direction and smirk. "...All the tables are full at the moment, so this'll do. Shouldn't be hard to find more to join us."

He raised the pint to his lips. A gulp...actually, make that a chugging that lasted just under 10 seconds. It was close to gone, so he had to tip it back some.

Tear peered around the corner of the doorway into the bustling building. She had returned here with the intention of giving the manager a piece of her mind - it seemed like there had been a leak of some sort and the alcoholic beverage was now tainting the island's fresh water supply. This wouldn't do! It would ruin the cafe's tea and coffee and was already making the whole place reek! There were children to think about, too. Tear herself wasn't technically old enough to drink, but she knew already that she didn't much care for the taste of beer if the glass of water she had sipped from during her training break was any indication ( ... )

Luke arrived at the building, wondering what all the fuss was about. That, and he felt the strong urge to visit anyway, having consumed a glass of juice earlier that contained traces of beer.

The first thing he saw was Tear holding a mug of beer. Utterly bewildered, Luke's mouth moved without connecting to his brain first.

"What? I didn't know you drink!"

Luke's answer was not in the form of words, but rather Tear choking on the previously offered beverage. It was... just about the worst thing she had ever tasted, and she had no idea what had possessed her to even try it to begin with. She also had no idea what little tolerance she had for the stuff. Perhaps it was out of curiosity, spite, or (most likely) a temporary lapse in common sense.

"I-- I don't think that I do..." she muttered under her breath, flushing with embarrassment. She... she could do whatever she wanted, couldn't she? That idiot... It wasn't as if she had an intelligent reason for doing something that she wouldn't have even considered under normal circumstances, but she wasn't without a badly-formed excuse ( ... )

"Look who's talking," Luke replied. "Anyway, I saw the crowd and wanted to see what's going on.

"Anyway, for something you couldn't bring yourself to refuse, you downed it pretty quick there."

The memories hadn't returned yet. X wondered if it were necessary to keep revisiting the festival until he was given an indication of some kind; thus, he'd returned today. He'd found one notable difference: the dilapidated building he and Ginko'd stood before was suddenly active and bustling with life. All things considered, the occurrence wasn't surprising. Maybe this is what the festival was building up towards, or the alcohol was reserved for this time of week.

He didn't spot any familiar faces amongst the crowds. As he weaved his way through them to search for anyone he knew, or at least someone in authority, he came across...well, a spare mug on a round wooden table. As crowded as the bar's interior was, this particular table was unattended, and the beverage seemed meant for him.

Curiously, he reached for it. The handle seemed just large enough to fit in his hand...

Mokona lifted a small mug to him from a nearby table.

"Kanpai~"

"Kanpai!" X shouted in return, raising the now full mug in salute. Wasn't it empty just a moment ago? And though he didn't think himself particularly thirsty previously, he found in him an irresistable urge to down the beer again. It didn't even taste very good. But he wanted it.

Nothing unusual, right? 'Course not. The second-long notion was drowned out by the realization of how happy he felt. This was one great festival!

"Kanpai!" shouted the android with more volume, as he heaved the frothy mug upward with enough force to spill some on the floor. Naturally some of it got on his arm, but he didn't seem to notice.

[OOC: Hey, how big is the Mokona-basin down there?]

Mokona finished her beer in one gulp, snagged herself a refill and toasted her new blue drinking buddy once more. "Kanpaiii~"

((OOC: About... small kitchen sink size, say? Mokona is a walking hammerspace; she can take it.))
