Exiting the apartments, Sheena sighed. Who knew that cooking could be so tiring? Thank the Goddess it was her break now... a bit of a respite before she had to run back in and help with the lunch rush. Well, at least she was learning how to cook now.

Leaning against the wall, she closed her eyes for a moment. However, the sound of rustling soon caught her attention and piqued her curiosity. Sheena walked around the apartments for a bit, before spotting a child working on the gardens. Approaching, she couldn't help but ask, "What're you doing?"

Arnold didn't look up right away, putting another handful of dead plants in the black garbage bag. "Cleaning up. Last night's freeze was a killer."

He looked up to see her and offered a smile. "I don't think we've met before. I'm Arnold."

Sheena tilted her head to the side, watching Arnold work. He certainly seemed to know what he was doing...

"I'm Sheena. Do... you need a hand?"

"Nice to meet you, Sheena."

He smiled a moment more before turning back to the plants and shaking his head. "Nah, I'm fine. It's kind of my job."

He continued working. "How long have you been here for, Sheena? I don't think we've run into each other before."

The poor plants. They hadn't taken the unexpected freeze well, obviously dead now. Tsuyukusa was probably being too sentimental because of the new memory he had received, but it was also his job to take care of the plants.

When he'd gotten a job as a gardener, he had been informed that he'd have a co-worked named Arnold. And seeing the smaller kid leaned over the dead plants. What a look on his face, too. Tsuyukusa huffed, there hadn't been any specific times assigned to either of them, so he could go on his merry way and let Arnold continue - he had a jacket; he'd be fine in the cold - but ... ehh. It was his job too.

He loomed over the blonde. "Need help?"

"I've got it." Arnold didn't look up as he continued tossing dead plants into the garbage bag. Sorry, Tsuyukusa, but your looming has no affect!

He glanced up at the older boy and gave him a fast, bright smile. "Thanks for the offer, though. But it's kind of my job."

It didn't connect that this could possibly be his new co-worker. After all, that girl had stopped by earlier.

What, no effect? Awww.

Arnold's smile was met with an uninterested (or just not-pleased) look, and his decline was ignored as Tsuyukusa knelt down beside him. He picked at the dead plants, surprisingly gently.

"Tch. It's my job too." There was an unspoken 'brat' at the end of his statement.

He paused for a moment, realization dawning. "Oh you're..." He hesitated. "Sorry, but I'm not sure how to pronounce your name and don't want to completely butcher it."

He ignored the unspoken "brat" comment. Water off a duck's back. He figured he probably should be upset about it, but he just couldn't find a reason to. Strange.

"Nice to finally meet you." He watched his gardening partner momentarily out of the corner of his eye. "I wish we'd had more warning about last night."

He was hazarding a guess as to why Tsuyukusa seemed upset.
