wow... hit by lightning... someone needs to get a little lesson in statistics...
lets see... from what i found the chance of getting hit by lightning is 1 in 600,000...wow
Oh emmie! why don't you build a bubble and put adrian in it so nothing can hurt him!! (i hope you picked up on the sarcasm there hun)
i agree with ya... stupid people need to keep their mouths shut...if i was there i'd punch her in her old lady face.... maybe she'll fall down and break a hip!
One of the best things anyone every told me when we had our first kid was "babies are made of rubber." I think she was referring to the fact that they tend not to get hurt when they fall (or get dropped, it happens) because they have so much more cartilage than bone. But it could also work in terms of them being insulators :)
Seriously, though, don't worry about what people say. You're the best expert on your own kid. People who criticize are probably working out their own issues as parents (or as children).
My wife and I tend to disagree about the risk of getting struck by lightning. I figure as long as there are things taller than me around, I probably don't have to worry. The way she looks at it, the chances of getting hit by lightning, while small, are a lot smaller if you stay indoors.
