[ Luckily, the Sphere had been switched off the moment the gravity had returned - which spared Naminé the embarrassment of having everyone see exactly how she received the darkening purple bruise on her cheekbone. It looked much more painful than it actually was, or so she thought, but that didn't mean she wasn't avoiding touching it at all costs. ( Read more... )

[ Yako had cracked her shins across the counter and faceplanted when gravity game back, so she can sympathize at some level when she does catch sight of Namine, and ultimately the bruise. ]

I think I really, really prefer being able to walk around without worrying about getting to where I want to be.

[ Cue catching sight of that bruise. ]

Do you want any ice for that, or maybe a cold washcloth?

[ Cracked shins? Ouch. The shuffling stops momentarily and she looks over at the Sphere, smiling a little ]

Yeah, I... Ultimately prefer that too. A lot safer, isn't it?

[ Her fingers half-mindedly trace across the bruise lightly, almost pensively ]

I already put some ice on it, but it was numbing my entire face, so I gave it a break.

[ The smile is almost sheepish, but it falters suddenly ]

Are you okay?

[ Yako smiles. ]

Yeah. It's much saner, too.

I see. That's probably a good idea, heh.

[ Yako shrugs. ]

Me? I'm fine. I've dealt with a lot worse on a regular basis.

I miss the good old days where gravity didn't even have to matter.

How did your floating week pass, hmm?

... "Where gravity didn't even have to matter?" When and where was that?

Uhm, mostly... With the Sphere switched off.

[ She unconsciously blushes ]

It was hard getting dressed and stuff.

Oh, when you're not alive, and physics stop consistently applying.

[ Rangiku gives a shrug of her shoulders - ah, yes, dressing. ]

The sonic showers were a blast, too.

[ Not alive? Did that mean that Rangiku was once... It catches her off-guard, but she's unsure of whether she should even ask ]

I see...

Ah, those.

[ She wrinkles her nose ]

Never again.

That's a pretty nasty bruise you've got there.

Alright, if you're sure. How'd it happen? When the gravity came back?

[slightly wide eyes at her]

Naminé ... I can heal that, you know. If you .. don't mind.

[a little awkward, sure. he just watches quietly as she goes to get the dress.]

[ Her brows arch but later furrow and she tries to smile, but evidently can't. Something feels... Off ]
