"Donghae~ah, can we talk?"
Kyuhyun paused for a moment at the sudden movement of the man now sleeping in his arms. Sungmin's shifted slightly, then finding a position of choice - his head on Kyu's chest - threw his hand onto Kyu's stomach and fell back into peaceful slumber.
Kyuhun's eyes traced from Minnie's head down to his naked torso that disappeared halfway under the covers that were wrapped loosely around him. Lifting his free hand, he pulled it up to Sungmin's neck, and placed a secure hand on his head.
If only, if only Hyukjae-hyung didn't come at that time. if only..
His thoughts trailed onto the day that he did really lose him- his beloved fishy.
He had made plans- very detailed as such, on how to confront him about his feelings. The roses behind the couch. The dinner reservations. The soft toys stuffed between the kitchen counter and the living room. The midnight stroll. Everything. The moment had been perfect. Him and him battling it out playfully on the game console.Him suddenly attacking out of dissatisfaction, trying to playfully find another way to get Kyuhun to lose the game.
It had been perfect.
That was until, he happened. Lee Hyukjae.
He had strolled into the living room, face grave and had interrupted their blissful moment.
"Donghae~ah,-" Hyukjae paused, increasing the tension in his voice"- can we talk?"
Donghae would have usually ignored any interruptions while playing a game, but Hyukjae's tone, his pause in the middle of the sentence, and the look on his face, made him put down his console and climb to his feet.
"Hyukkie~ah? Are you ok?" He reached a hand to Hyukjae's forehead, and one to his own.
He had flinched as he watched Hyukjae's hand grab at his hand on his forehead and pull him out of the room.
He ddnt make to follow. Yet he stood still, ears straining for the voices that were now getting farther away.
A few moments were lost in silence and he turned away from the door that they had walked out, the storm raging within soon to be followed by surprise as he felt warm arms wrap around him.
Before his mind could register the moment in which he was, his lips had whispered a simple, yet strong
"Hae hyung?"
The silence that ensued was betrayed by his sudden confession.
"i love you"
As he made to turn around, heart racing, he froze in his actions as he realized whom he had made the confession to.
"s-sungmin hyun-"
His sentence never saw it's end as Sungmin reached up and captured his lips in a kiss that demanded much attention.
Taken by surprise? obviously. Maybe that's why his reaction came so slowly. After a brief moment into the kiss he forcefully placed his hands on Sungmin's waist as he tried to shake him off.
Wrong move. Sungmin took it as encouragement and threw his arms around his neck and pulled him closer.
Unable to retain his hyung anymore, his hands frantically searched for a way to push him off.

Hyukjae laid securely on the sofa, head on Hae's lap, face turned towards his stomach and hand hanging limply off of Hae's knee.
He looked down at the sleeping face, his hand instinctively brushing off a stray strand of hair from his forehead.
His hand loosely tracing Hyukjae's eyebrows, his mind ran back, once more, to the memory of back then.
It had been a perfect moment. They had been happy. He had looked so happy.
Until- Hyukjae had walked in and dragged him out the room. And being the concerned friend he is, he had decided against shaking him off and simply followed him in his mission.
When they did stop, his questioning eyes had searched Hyukjae's face for any signs of explanations. He wanted answers. Mostly because he was concerned. But also because he wasn't very fond of the sudden interruption in what had been a perfect moment.
"what's wrong?" he restated his question, leveling his eyes with the man in front of him.
Hyukjae replied by ensuing his silence, successfully avoiding his eyes.
And then his answer escaped his lips, his voice barely above a whisper.
"what?" he questioned, his voice demanding, afraid that this was some sort of a cruel joke.
He's my best friend.
A voice at the back of his mind echoed his thoughts.
Best FRIEND.
"I said I love you"
Hyukjae whispered- his voice barely audible.
What to say?
He didn't wish for Hyukjae to go through the same pain as his own unrequited love towards Kyuhyun is causing him. Arguing against accepting his feelings and confessing to Kyuhyun he came to the conclusion of buying some time to think things through.
Having stated his thoughts to Hyukjae he walked away- too fast yet too slow.
Heart racing and mind in a twist, he had hoped to find refuge in Kyuhyun.
Upon reaching the living room, he froze in his steps at the nightmare that was now playing before him.
Sungmin had his arms wrapped tightly around Kyuhyun as they played tongue hockey. Kyu's hands frantically searched Sungmin's body as the other deepened the kiss by coming closer.
As the nightmare continued on, he could feel the dagger in his heart twisting once more. Unable to look anymore, he turned on his heels and walked towards where he had left Hyukjae.
At the sound of the obvious footsteps, Hyukjae lifted his head in the direction of the source.
"Hyukjae-ah. I've got something to tell you"
