Caboose in Omega mode is bad bad news. Well... sort of. He's not necessarily actually smarter. He's mostly just better at talking a good game of it. He does tend to be more "evil", though.

Basically, a few years ago, the Blues hired a Freelancer 'cause one of their guys (Church) got killed. The one they got was this chick named Tex, who used to be Church's girlfriend back before they signed up. Before she went Freelance, she was part of a shady black-ops group, each member of which got an AI that enhanced their abilities. Tex's was named Omega, and it turns out that she didn't really want him.

Also turns out that Omega had figured out how to jump from one person's armor to another's using signals transmitted over the radio. When Tex got killed, Omega had overheard that the attack was coming, and transmitted itself... to Caboose. No one knew about this for a while, until Tex's ghost showed up and told the Blues. (No, really. Church's ghost came back too. Strange, but true.) The two ghosts apparently did something that supposedly

So this is something from wherever you and Simmons and Caboose came from? This O'Malley character is an AI? It's a pretty advanced AI, all things considered. But still, I feel... bad for this Tex woman. I don't think I'd want anybody that creepy in my head.

The copy theory sounds the most plausible considering that you say Caboose has lost control once before. I'm worried about the sane version of him; if O'Malley makes any changes to the timeline, it could damage Caboose or make him cease to exist.

I know Claire will undoubtedly want to take a shot at getting Caboose back. And I'm more than willing to aid in any attempts to snap him back to normal. Are there any others from Red or Blue teams that could help out as well?

It's not so much that we "got him back," in the end... I'm not even sure what really happened there.
