Yoko's not really doing anything much of note. She's been hanging around the apartment cleaning up some small messes. She's managed to clear the sink of any dirty dishes, and she's also emptied all of the wastebaskets she could find. So right now she's just sitting on the couch watching television

Then, more footsteps up the stairs, and opens the apartment door! He's got a single paper sack of what looks like groceries--vegetables and bread--in one arm. He closes the door behind him, and swings the keyring around a finger.
"You're gonna be so proud of me," he says, "I actually bought food this time."

"So, uh..." She nudges the floor with the toe of her left slipper. "I think the apartment is lmost finished being repaired. So... I might be moving out soon." She looks a little sad about this whole state of affairs.
"but this is certainly going to be something to tell Rebecca about. Am I right?"

He nods in agreement at the announcement about the apartment, giving her a tight-lipped half smile, but looks down and away kind of quickly.
"I guess so," he says, "S'gonna seem kinda empty around here, but I've got my nightlight."

"So we should make what time we have left memorable. Am I right?" She puts one hand on his arm and smiles again. "That way, it won't be so lonely after we go our own ways."
It's obvious she's put a little thought into this whole topic of conversation.

And all the while, she's eating popcorn and drinking soda. With a warm smile, she looks up at Kevin. "This is actually a good movie. You were right!" She laughs in delight.
Now this is how a movie night should go.

He looks down as she speaks and gives her a kind of knowing grin with a small nod, as if to say, "isn't it?" and gives her shoulders a tiny squeeze with his arm.
It feels nice to have someone here to enjoy this kind of stuff with him--would actually give the things he liked a chance. Hm.

And if he's paying attention, he'll notice the bright red blush across her face. She quickly ducks her head and goes back to the movie.

He doesn't see her change in tint due to the low lights, but when the credits roll, he slides his arm off of her and gets up to click on the lights again.
"So... what'd you think?"

A sudden pick-up in the wind makes her shiver a little. "P-perhaps pajamas weren't the best outfit for nighttime rooftop climbs, right?" She smiles weakly and laughs; hey, she's willing to make fun of herself if the need arises.
That doesn't mean she likes to, mind you. It's just something she can do if the moment requires it.

He looks up at the sky and nods.
"It is kinda chilly." with this, he shrugs off the black fleece overshirt he's wearing to reveal his--surprise!--white t-shirt, and places it over her shoulders.
"We'll practice better foresight later." he laughs a little, then looks at her and wordlessly gathers her into a hug; after what he's just heard, she seemed that to deserve all the affection she could get.
"I'm sorry about what happened to you." then, "If you need me to, I'll help in any way I can."
Poor kid...

"Just stay nearby," she says quietly. "That's all I need: to have you near me." She stifles a yawn and smiles sleepily up at him. "If you do that... I'll be happy."

It certainly felt natural as hell, though.
He nods and returns the smile, hiding with some expertise what he was actually thinking; "...how the hell did we get to this point so quickly?" HE certainly wasn't one to 'commit', let alone commit quickly. And she was certainly too smart for that kind of shit.
"No problem, kid. You just wait, in about three months you'll be dying to get rid of me."
It's probably the first time in his life Kevin has to tell himself to slow down rather than trying to speed things along for whatever reason. He didn't want to ruin this, and...
...damn.
He notices her yawn.
"Gettin' tired?"
