Theatre is my crack.

For picspammy. I'm planning on accompanying this with memorable performances/moments etc but I don't think I'll crosspost that to there so if anyone does want to see that just let me know and I'll make sure it's public and let you know when it's posted.

Theatre from 2009: some spoilers for a couple of production moments in Red and for the end of The Pitmen Painters. )

You have seen some amazing things this year and I think you've very lucky :D I don't know where to start with this post...*sigh*

I know from your neck of the woods to London isn't an short journey, but I'd hate to live so far away from a good theatre city that I couldn't get to it. It would drive me crazy.

My first trip to the Lyttleton tomorrow and HELLO NT BOOKSHOP.

I think I'm very lucky. It's about 2/2.5 hours so the journey itself isn't so bad it's the fact that because it's on a mainline it's so expensive coupled with it's SHIT but the journey time itself has improved drastically!

Oooh Power of Yes?! The Lyttleton is a much much much better auditorium than the Olivier, imo - well in everyone's I should think due to the acoustic issues the Olivier has. I <3 the NT Bookshop. I was going to book a backstage visit for the NT on the 9th but that's already fully booked, alas. I really want Mum to see it!

I was supposed to see The Habit of Art today but things cropped up and I couldn't get down there. *sigh* Ah well, I can't be greedy and do everything I suppose o_O

I wept the first time I went into the bookshop XD I won the music prize at school and spent my prize vouchers in there :D

Oh no! Nothing bad I hope? I didn't realise Habit of Art and Power of Yes were in rep in the Lyttleton, thought Habit was in the Olivier.

I want to get the script for 'Red' when I'm down there.

Yeah it's mostly savings but it helps not drinking or being v. sociable more money for theatre!! Yeah go by yourself, I sat through The Romans in Britain front row of The Crucible in Sheffield by myself - never have I been more traumatised!
