Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? He stands between about 4'7" and 5'2". ( Absolute Anime says 5'1" but he's pretty short, so. :x ) He's more skinny than slender due to his age, though apparently he grows up to be tall and lean.

2. How old is he? Twelve! Mentally, like 35. Ritsuka is very mature for his age. He's like a professor. Or something.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? It depends. Most of the time, he carries himself well, straight backed and proud and trying to look taller than he is. This is usually when he's in front of people he doesn't know, or doesn't like. When he's angry, eh tenses up. Otherwise he slouches and leans back in chairs.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Other than he constant injuries his mother inflicts, Ritsuka is surprisingly healthy. He has an amazing metabolism, considering he devours McDonalds as much as possible, but stays like 70 pounds.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Ritsuka's movement in very tense. Not in the jerky sense, but he holds his guard up so high, he always tries to look serious and it shows in how he walks.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? It's been stated in canon, he's pretty adorable. He doesn't see it as "himself". He'll admit "he" is good looking, but he dislikes mirrors because he feels that the person he sees is not himself, but the "real" Ritsuka.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Mildly tan giving way to light. He spends a fair amount of time outside, though it's mostly when he's at school, or with Soubi. Also, scarred. He has numerous barely visible scars from his mother attacking him.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Shaggy, and near his shoulders. It's black, despite the fact that the anime has it as purplish. The Zero pair commented one time that it was "soft, despite being black". He takes care of it.

9. What color are his eyes? ...Purplish?

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? He has cat ears and a tail, because he's a virgin. It's a thing in his world. Yeah. Also he always had a bandage on his face due to his mother's abuse.

11. What are his chief tension centers? Shoulders, and chest. They both hurt when he's upset or angry.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? He dresses in "stylish casual" I guess? It changes every day, though he does re-wear outfits sometimes. Sometimes he nabs Soubi's clothes though.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? They fit as they should, and Ritsuka likes that.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? No job!

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? ...HE'S TWELVE I REFUSE TO ANSWER THIS.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? High pitched! He hasn't hit puberty yet. A deep high pitched, I guess? Just. Boyish.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? He speaks easily, and even. When upset, his voice jumps octaves though and he talks fast.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? He uses words the average twelve year old would ( and does ) WTF at.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? Japanese, and I imagine he's fairly good at English.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Only if he's talking to someone speaking English.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? Impromtu.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Eloquent. When he's startled or embarrassed. Then he gaps like a fish and stutters.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? Very book smart. Street-smart...not so much. A given, he's 12.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? Thinks on his feet like a fast thinking thing.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Logical and practical. He tends to analyze situations and people.

4. What kind of education has the character had? He's currently in his final year of elementary school.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? He's a good reader, and writes very nicely. Science and math he's decent at, but he doesn't really like them.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? Short-fused. When not angry, he's pretty melancholy. Also, driven.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? He's suspicious, and pretty scornful of the smallest mistakes they make.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react? React, despite his protest to the contrary.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight? Flight. Ritsuka dislikes fighting, especially without Soubi.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? He appreciates them, but dirty jokes make him roll his eyes and blush.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? In the manga, the therapist makes a comment about Dissociative Identity Disorder, a.k.a. multiple personalities. He also has amnesia applying to from when he was ten and before. He has severe identity issues because of them.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? Seimei's death, leaning Seimei was alive, meeting Soubi, when he tries to help his mother after she tries to drowned him, when he stands up and tells Seimei that though he forgives him for what he did, he is angry at him for lying.

14. What does he fear? Ceasing to exist.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations? To find Seimei's killer and get revenge. Then, to bring Seimei home.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? The situation with his mother.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents. Strained. His mother is unstable and beats him, and his father is absent in his life for the most part.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? One older brother, who he adored before his "death". He'll forgive him even if Seimei kills him.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? Other than Seimei, no. No.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? No, but he has close friends.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? This is hard to say, because he never specifies who his best friend is, but I'd have to say Yuiko. She wormed her way in with him when he transferred schools.

6. Does he have other close friends? Technically Soubi? And the Zeros, to a point.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? Trouble getting along, though people seem to be naturally drawn to him.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends? Family.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? Single. Twelve. Yeah.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Not technically? It could be interprutted that way with Soubi, but Ritsuka is pretty naive in the emotional aspect of "adult things" like love and relationships.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? No idea, and none at this time.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner? He hasn't decided yet. Someone who isn't dumb.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any? No.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies? The people that killed Seimei, at first. Nisei, Seimei's fighter. He doesn't like him. Yayoi thinks their rivals but Ritsuka is just..."What?" about it.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? Due to his age, I want to say "X". But for now, I'll go with "1", because ( despite what SoubiRitsuka fans will say ) he hasn't really showed much interest of that kind with Soubi, but seems okay with being kissed and cuddled by him. Also, when one of the zeros kiss him, his reaction doesn't come from it being a male, but being kissed in itself. But there's nothing to say he's strictly gay, especially given his age, so for now, predominately heterosexual, but hasn't grown into those interests yet. I imagine one day he might have a crush on Yuiko.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? He doesn't understand why people do it. Not really.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? HE'S TWELVE I AM NOT ANSWERING THIS.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
