Controversial question #1. What are your thoughts on abortion? Feel free to argue...respectfully

I find it hard to be the one you only come to when you're down. I'm broken by the days...I'm empty and cold now. I'm still waiting for you to watch me fall. My loss and longing will ALWAYS haunt me. I can't breathe. You're choking me. Your words are hands around my neck. You penetrate my skin and kill me. This pain has found me once again. It only ( Read more... )

to me, abortion is murder, and I think it's wrong. However, I know there might be some people who would have a GOOD reason for doing that. Only like 1 in a bazillion though. lol I, personally, would NEVER do it, but I think it's up to the mother, or parents, however you view it, and no one else. much love art!

well what they said is pretty much what i think.. i am pro-choice personally. i take it pretty literally, i mean its thier own choice. my choice for myself is to not do it, but i mean if abortion was made illegal people would still do it through their own choices.

in the past when it was illegal women chose to still do it and by very gross means i might add..they used hangers and things like that.

enough for my stupid lecture.Art i am also sad that moontime isnt playing shows anymore. i mean who am i to say it eh i havent really gone to any you might think im an idiot but thats because i cant until jan. and i was patiently waiting until then..but NO.

There's nothing i love more than the unjustified killing of an unprotected soul. Frankly, as much as i am against it, i can't really decide on the topic. There are situations where i do think it is totally necessary. Moreover, it is a form of birth control, a necessary evil in the world. It's a cold harsh reality, and it is a shame that it exists, but it's something that won't go away, so deal with it. Oh and for everyone who is going to respond "well it might not go away, but we can still try to stop it," that's fine. Have your opinion, but be able to back it up with action of your own. It sucks having my opinion, because everyone will be against me, including my church, and maybe even God. eh.....life will go on

That's crazy, Art, this very topic is what we're debating in my speech class. I agree with "anonymous" and the kids on certain issues, since I have just recently been researching info to defend both sides I can see how both have their points. Me personally, I don't want abortions to occur, but like what was said, they will always happen. I know its kinda against my religion too, but there's just certain situations that, unless I was in their shoes, I couldn't judge their deciscions, all I can do is pray. I found a cite that says that as long as unplanned pregnancies exist so will abortion, even if people will have to go to extreme measures to have it done. I was reading abunch of stories and facts about pro-choice and pro-life and a lot of it mad me want to cry( one personal story did make me cry). When I debated it I had to go pro- choice and the 2 points I used were raped victims and the choice of "back-alley" abortions if there's no alternative. Its a very contraversal subject, but I have noticed both have their views to express ( ... )

Even in a situation where a woman was raped, I still don't think abortion is justified. If my father decided to kill someone, would it be fair to punish me, or put me to death for his crime? Of course not. So then why kill an unborn baby because the father did something wrong. People argue that the woman will have bad thoughts or memories whenever they look at the baby, but there's always the option to put it up for adoption. Millions of parents are looking to adopt, and only a few people put their babies up for adoption. However, millions of abortions are performed every year.
