We went to Wai-con today at the Perth Convention Centre and it was a blast. I was in cosplay as Older Ema from Phoenix Wright and sis went as Ryoma from Prince of Tennis. So happy because its my first time cosplaying~!
We'd been planning to cosplay for a while now, since watching the fabulous cosplaying of Supanova. However I only got the idea to cosplay Ema four days ago, which made time a little short. Tse had prepared two costumes for Wai; Ryoma and Chrome from Hatekyo Hitman Reborn.
My poor mother had spent many late nights making the costume, and assisting me with dying my clothes I bought from the op shop and also hemming and tailoring everything. She's seriously a great help, thanks so much mum ><.
Today was pretty good; I had a person request for a picture which made feel all fuzzy inside ^^. There were two other Emas; an older and a younger. I took several pictures with both, also with an equally pretty Maya and awesome Godot ^^. We searched the area for good cosplayers (and there were so many) and we've got quite a collection so far.
However, I didn't do as much shopping as I'd thought, which I suppose saves money, but thats hardly the issue at the con. I did pick up some awesome World Ends With You player pins, a subscription with Animavericks for cool anime mags and a kawaii chocobo plushie (I'm getting a collection now).
My feet kill like hell being in high heels all day, and when I take them out to cool off I can feel them crack back into shape. I have four new blisters now --.-- and tomorrow will just get worse. Not to mention three layers of clothing and 38 degrees weather ^^;.
Despite that, its been good, and I'm looking for more good stuff tomorrow.

Day Two was as equally awesome, when reaching the convention centre I was surprised by the large number of people present, and the great number of cosplayers, and great ones at that. Just as yesterday I circled the room for good cosplay, though I doubt I got them all. This is why I'm relying on the Panic photos to be uploaded ^^.
Me and a friend decided to have some fun and hired traditional kimonos for $5 for 5 minutes. The assistant dressed us up , I'd picked a very silky cream coloured floral design with red showing underneath, and she took the sleek black one with a colourful floral pattern at the bottom. We paraded around the con for a while, laughing and tripping on our clothes, then entered the photo booth. This is where it got interesting; we posed together for a professional photographer, and then individually; my friend was asked to pose suggestively behind her fan ^^.
I had more requests for photos than day one, which was surprising since I figured there'd be less people (fuzzy feeling coming back). I found the same Godot from yesterday, except he was Diego Armando this time and we posed Objection style ><.
The cosplay was top-notch, and I really mean it because all of them had great costumes and very amusing skits. Again I didn't buy much, but I only had $35 left from before. I think for today I picked up a cute moogle and tonberry keychain and blueberry pocky; which is my new favourite pocky flavour .
All in all, Wai-Con was great as ever.
