topshop is seriously overpriced compared to it's quality nowadays, its amazing how much it's changed in recent years. I only buy stuff in the sales now, or their tights XD
While I agree with you, you have to remember people will think the same about us lolita's no doubt. We buy ridicules priced dresses for over £200, for the dress alone. So realistically, this is more cost affective. But well, lolita is beautiful...(My spending excuse)
I like Topshop, and I don't think it's all bad quality. I think it's over priced tho for sure. £10 for lace tights o,O Ekk. But, saying that it is one of the 'higher up' high street brands and most of their clothes now have independent designers. Hence the higher price.
I honestly only look for accessories from Topshop, but some of their blouses are really cute and I'm not afraid to say I asked for one for my Bday. XD
I did kind of post this as I was upset recently a friend sold a ton of her lolita clothes ... only to buy 2 dresses from Topshop O_O I agree, its not all bad quality, I guess in lolita you learn what material and lace you like, I understand when outsiders to the fashion don't get how we afford it and such - but high street can be just as espensive O_____O And yeah - £200 + for our lovely brand dresses seems a lot, but I like to prove to myself its worth it xD
I can't be arsed to justify the amount I spend on brand. Why the hell not? It's my money, it's good quality and it retains its value much better than high street / mainstream brands. It's an investment.
Topshop does the odd nice thing, but yes, some of the quality is a little so so. I do like those flower patterned tights tho <3
Haha xD Yeah - that is the right attitude (: I think they are cute too, I do like getting tights and jewellry from topshop sometimes ^-^ If the latest thing fits in with what styles I like it can work really well (:
