I am so sorry about the lateness in posting here, but as some of you already know, I've had a difficult time lately, as well as being busy moving several of my sites

I don't think LJ will be banning or deleting this group anytime soon (or at all), however I know that I am planning on moving to another jouranling grou (keeping my LJ as unpaid to track events here), because I'm not going to support LJ's business.
my thoughts: stay here, back up weekly using an LJ tool that will allow migration to another LJ code site. also, encourage people who do migrate to set up RSS feeds at their destination to facilitate cross-communication. make certain those feeds are widely shared.
I'm mostly a lurker on this group, so feel free to ignore me, but I think probably the best thing to do is either, back up a lot, and post the back ups to alternate journaling sites and/or, keep an eye out to see if fandom manages to make up it's mind, and then encourage everyone here to move and probably close this LJ down to try and help make the move complete.
Although, chances of fandom ever collectively making up their mind: 1% :P
I'm not sure if you're aware of this, or if you'd even want to try (you'd probably want to speak to the members first) but there are programs out there that allow you to copy all of the old entries here, and have them posted at an LJ clone (like Greatest Journal, or Insane Journal). I did it last night with my personal journal, but I know there's an option for communities too. It doesn't work on comments, and of course the names are transferred directly so "bob" on LJ may be "phil" on GJ or not exsist, or there may already be a bob who'd be getting "credit" but it would help preserve the comms history.
(If you'd like the link to this program let me know)
hiya. I am totally not a jounral person. I much prefer the email groups. And I don't understand 90% of what ya'll have said in the comments. lol. But, please, Beth do let me know what I have to do to stay with you if you decide to move the group!
