Everything was wrong, and it took writing here to stop it and turn it all around. And while there are many ( Read more... )

I tend to be very shy of initiating contact, so this? Brilliant.

I am as well. I spent a whole month - I won't say which one - pretty much talking to absolutely nobody on AIM and feeling vastly inadequate.

Then I got divorced, and decided to kick ass and take names, and things have been better since. I hate watching people struggle here, when they show such promise - which includes many, many people here.

You're one smart cookie. I've been here significantly longer and I still forget some of these points from time to time.

You are sweet as pie. I actually don't follow all my own advice all the time, but I think about these things a lot.

You are sweet to say so. I'm glad some people liked it; I was undecided on opining, then realized one of my own rules is 'have some opinions, dammit'.

So I did.

It was something I needed to read, being in the midst of a bout of uncertainty about what I'm doing here. It should be mandatory reading.

I'm happy you did.

Do you know how much of an inspiration you are? I suspect not, sometimes. But you are, and this was brilliant. Keep kicking ass and taking names and just...well, just being you.

Nope. I'm told that endearing charm is more easily come by if you remain oblivious. But seriously, I'm glad you liked it. And also, very glad you're back.

If you were possessed of more endearing charm than you have, you would have the lot of us wrapped even more around your little finger than you already do, you realize.

And I'm glad you're glad I'm back; you were definitely one of the big reasons I decided to give this a proper try again, like it deserved.
