my father used to tell me that every ounce of pleasure is bought with an equal ounce of pain, and for a very long time i believed it, if for no other reason than to help me through difficult times by being able to tell myself that it would all be okay later - something would get better ( Read more... )

and i know how you feel, love.
i really really really do.
but just actively try to make positive changes, and things will get better, your mind will feel lighter. it's all in our minds, you know?

believe me, i completely understand. its that whole notion that maybe if i persevere or believe that things will get better that they actually will. this past year or so has proven that that sort of thinking does nothing. its only now, that i find myself extremely dissatisfied and unhappy, that i realized that i should have actually DONE something to alter my path.
