Whee! "Falling For The First" just came on The Wolf... *dance*

That aside, I just sent an email to my MP, Peter Adams, on same-sex marriage:

Agreed. I love this country. You wouldn't believe the crack I heard at Canada on America's Funniest Home Videos the other night...I got all offended and huffy but Jamie didn't seem to care too much.

Have fun at camp! I wish I could go.

Oh, now you have to tell me what it was so I can get all offended and huffy too! :p

I'll try to remember to bring my camera, so you can "go" that way... lol.

The stupid host was introducing some clips, and as an introduction he said, "Americans are considered among the smartest people in the world. That said, we'll just pretend that the people in these clips are Canadian."

So...he essentially said, "We Americans are so egotistical, we think we're the bestest and the smartest. So because the people in these next videos look really stupid, we'll just call them Canadians, because Canada is dumb."

At least, that's how it sounded to me!

Hmm, yup, that's how I'd read it too... I'm sure a lot of it was his tone, though. I can read that comment as rather insulting, or tongue-in-cheek, depending on how it's delivered.

:D Awesome letter Davie, I'm glad you sent it. My MP is a conservative, Dick Harris. (I voted NDP, too :( )

I miss snow :( It's like fall out there. At least it stopped raining...

That sucks... it's great having a Liberal MP, especially a progressive one.

Borrow some snow from the East Coast... I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

Yup, it was... I was a tad suprised, as it was still below freezing that day, but I guess it was 'cause it's been sunny.

Nice letter. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. Fortunately, I too have a Liberal MP who's voting in favour of the bill. (She's in Cabinet, so she has to, but I think she would have anyway.)

What's that white stuff in the pics? :P We have something similar, but it's mostly dark grey and brown (and blue in a couple of places, where someone poured either antifreeze or some funky kind of road salt on the street).

I was also a little surprised to see that your evergreen trees are... well, so green. Spruce?

Who's your MP, then?

That would be snow... you know, snow without salt and dirt in it? It's quite often white... :p

Yeah, mainly spruce in there, with the odd pine mingled throughout. Combined with the creek, this means that you get eaten alive if you go in there at the wrong time in the summer, as there's no breeze to speak of, either.

Not in the big city, it ain't. :P

Aha. I see I won't be visiting you this summer, then. Mosquitoes and black flies love the way I taste. :(

Eh, most areas aren't too bad, just stay away from groves of spruce!
