I know a girl who worked at Michael's and really seemed to like it. As an English major, have you applied at Maude's coffee shop? What about a comic book store?

And may I ask... what did you like about the first Etrian Odyssey?

At this point, there's very few places I wouldn't work, but Michael's is one of them. Don't think I can stand the atmosphere or the smell of fake plants all day

Have you played any of the other Persona games? It's a really great series overall.

Yeah, I have Persona 2, and I've played a couple of the similar series (Digital Devil Saga/Shin Megami Tensei). I don't think I've ever actually finished one, though.

At least now you can save in dungeons, and it's not like "buff party defenses -> win."

On the other hand, so many choices and only 5 guys, wtf!?

Heh. Well, your guild can be "30 members" so at least you can have plenty of uh, to borrow a WoW term, "alts."

Also, the game's totally pissing me off... I read some stuff on parties on Gamespot, but I'm pretty sure the "ideal grouops" described also involve a fuckton of early-game grinding.

You got a good group for low levels??

I'm not as into the game as some people are (in other words I don't know what would make a perfect party setup because I won't do all the number crunching), but I can tell you what I use in EOII:

-Landsneckt
-Ronin
-Dark Hunter
-Medic
-Gunner

It works pretty well for me.
