Today was the day that I was supposed to go back to work. I can't go back to work until I have a medical release. I'm tired of being at home and want to be productive again. My OT came today and was impressed with how well I've been doing. My balance is better and I've started using my cane more when I use the bathroom (the walker takes up a lot of room, lol). I think my biggest challenge will be driving. My first day out of the hospital I drove to the store and I was scared. I'm slow for the most part but I'm okay ( Read more... )

February 5th is a day I won't forget as long ad I live. It was the day I had my stroke. I was lucky that it didn't make me more disabled than I am. I'm not able to balance/walk without a cane/walker and I'm generally slower, but for the most part I'm fine. I am getting physical and occupational therapy at home and it seems to be helping.
