Oh! So heartwrenching. I really like this Mensa!Verse John. I like him a lot.

Very nice examination of what could have happened. Thanks!

Oh story, how I love thee. Let me count the ways.

How Ronon was about to declare war on Clan Sheppard, but TEYLA was the harder one to convince to stay behind.

a right he had paid for in blood and pain, broken bones and dead bodies

Yes, right there. In any universe. :)

How it was all through Rod's eyes and he let us see the differences in this John and the uncertainty that just wasn't the John he knew.

How John got the horses. Oh, isn't there a way to take them with us? C'mon, greatest minds in two galaxies, figure it out!

How Dave was trying by the end, but it was too little, too late. At least until he stops blaming John.

And how John always tried, always left his damn family a chance to get in touch, but they never did.

"...Why did you bring McKay to dad's funeral?"

"...He's part of my family. Why wouldn't I have brought him?"

I don't know who you are, but thank you. This is everything I could have wanted.

I'm so glad John has his real family in Atlantis to look out for him. Maybe Dave is going to try to work things out? I hope he does.
