Like "that's so gay!"? Ah, the 80s. Kids calling each other Gaylord and Queerbate.
And when someone says something akin to "not that there is anything wrong with that..." after mentioning homosexuality, doesn't it kind of make you think that they are trying to convince themselves? or when they use ethnic descriptors for people when they are aren't needed.
dh REALLY enjoys Silent Death - and is writing for it... I plan to get my own button accordion when our inheritance money comes in... we have a sizable Celtic music library and its good to see folks who play any instruments therein..ie bodhran...
ok, here's a hot button that sends me to the moon: you are watching a sporting event with your kids, and here comes a commercial for a product that will cure erectile dysfunction!!! Some goony guy with a huge, fake grin plastered on his face, and his adoring friends and neighbors. And my confused children. On a saturday afternoon. Lovely.
cool interest of the moment.....I am about to start making my own leaded stained glass windows and items. Wish me luck.
Along the kids watching news lines, I hate when there are commercials for really, really scary movies on during the day or during a kids' show. Or previews for R rated movies shown before a PG one. You get my drift, it's like people just aren't thinking about their audience.
Reminds me of when my parents took my sister and I to a double feature at the drive in, the first movie was some kid flick and the second was Saturday Night Fever. My sister and I had to face out the back of the station wagon for that one. My parents could have thought that through a little better, but it would have helped if both movies at least had the same rating! :)
Hot button: Hearing people's cell phones or seeing them text messaging while in a lecture or some work-related function. It drives me crazy; it just seems incredibly rude to me.
Interests: Roller skating, China during the Cultural Revolution, thrift stores.
