i saw that. i was gon' discuss with you when i came to cville and will, but i think im gonna try to jet for paris. et vous? i have to figure it out with my dad first but it seems highly plausible, espec. the more other people (would be interested in paying a share of an apartment).

are you coming to cville in the next few days, then? i'll be gone thurs. morning to fri. evening or sat. morning and am engaged from noon on saturday until i dont know when but we'll squeeze in a time

of course the ideal would be that i learn french. i'm confident of my ability to pick up a language in no time flat, but doing it the comp lit way (french text against english translation, with grammar and dictionary handy) doesn't do much for spoken fluency beyond being able to regurgitate grammatical constructions i don't know how to pronounce. maybe night classes at uva or probably not piedmont for a number of reasons

the first time i was so eager to fulfill my own agenda that i didn't catch the bit about the thesis, that's pretty kewl!!!!!!!!!!

i am coming tuesday evening. UVA night classes do seem like the best (albeit expensivest) way, espec. if supplemented with befriending a french speaker and using your superpowers to help them like you; once you get a hang of basic cspeaking and pronounciation, reading french will add to your usable vocabulary.
