You have the ability to get pregnant as soon as you go off your pills - that's why it's so important to use a backup method when you miss pills. Once the hormone level in your body drops, your body can ovulate. There's no need to stop before you're ready to conceive.

Hope that helps.

Two months is more than enough time, my concern is you may have trouble getting pregnant with how irregular your cycle is. Its worth consulting your doctor with your concerns imo, and starting folic acid supplements too. Best of luck!

Whoops I misread, thought you said they were irregular when you're off the pill.

I conceived around July 31, My son was born on April 21st.

Why don't you just stop and try now? Make sure you're taking folic acid and have fun. If you don't conceive by mid-August, start taking your bc again or just opt for a different method of birth control for the next 6-7mo before starting TTC again.

I'm the same way. I'm just about to start TTC for a slightly earlier spring baby. I don't like summer and don't want to be hugely pregnant and overheated. Right now I'm looking at mid-March if I were to conceive this cycle.

I mean, almost anything is possible when it comes to pregnancy and conception. If you're willing to conceive now, stop your BC, have fun, and good luck! If you don't become pregnant by your cut-off date, start using nonhormonal BC options until that window opens again.

Bear in mind that one year is considered the average length of time for people trying to conceive.

Oh is it? I didn't even consider anything like that, I guess due to the number of surprise pregnancies out there. lol Hmm. I guess this will just have to be an experiment. Maybe we'll get it the first time, maybe not.

just anecdotal info here: went of hbc after about 9 years on it...conceived after 6 months. went back on hbc after 1st child, went off it about a yr and a half later, conceived after 2 months, resulting in a miscarriage. then conceieved immediately after miscarriage...well, 2 weeks after. so, it's possible.
