*sends virtual dinner party containing all your favourite foods and some excellent guests*
I like cooking, and I like menu planning to cover as many variables as possible. It feels like a kind of logic puzzle or challenge to optimally cover guests' tastes and needs, colours, seasonality, contrast between courses, textures, cooking requirements and so on. Except I don't enjoy logic puzzles and I do enjoy this.
Stir-fry the cavalo nero / kale? With a bit of garlic? That does require being last minute though. You could bake it but I have never actually done that.
Very well, thank you! The blind wine tasting was lots of fun and people seemed to like the food. And I enjoyed cooking it. Also, the house is now very clean and tidy! Which will last all of three days, but is still enjoyable as a temporary state.

I tend to use goat's cheese for stuffed mushrooms, and having written that I really want to go and do that now.
I don't know if you've seen my friend Kake's vegan recipe site, by the way? http://www.earth.li/~kake/cookery/
