that's so cool! i love remembering my own forgotten esoteric irrelevant things! it happens to me a lot when i'm listening to music or readng. i'll suddenly think of something i haven't thought about in years. i should start writing that stuff down. anyway, i don't really like couscous. i mean, it's okay, but it's kind of an oddling as far as foods go. it's not a grain in and of itself, but it's not really a pasta, it's just like eating dust-flavored moistened bird pellets. =( rice is better.
Yeah, I'd have to agree with you about the couscous. This couscous was also from a pre-packaged "curry-tofu" thing I bought at the organic store on Sunday. It was way dryed-out and had lost most of its flavor, save for a little parsley and some discolored and unappetizing raisins. It's only redeeming quality was that it was produced by a company called "Savvy Savories" which, I discovered to much delight, is based in Berkeley, CA. So it had that connected to it, which touched my heart. Sigh sigh sigh.....
oh, don't worry, it's not your fault. probably just the 25 miles it took to get that food up here. and thank you for providing funding because it did feed me! As for bookstores and coffee, there basically isn't anything better than that.
