It's just that I'm super duper impatient. With gymnastics, I see results almost instantly. It's a beautiful, hypnotising, engaging thing that I never want to lose.
Kung Fu masters are nuts. I know that they know what their doing and at one time, they were at the same place that I was, and if I want to catch up, I have to stick with it. But like, I kind of don't care. After going to gymnastics today, that's all I want to do. And if I didn't care about a W on my transcript, though it doesn't affect my average, I'd totally drop Kung Fu and do gymnastics all the time instead. It's the love of my fucking life.
After one quarter, you are still registered in the beginner class, but one instructor usually takes the second and third quarter students to the side and teaches them other things. The classes are small so it's usually one-on-one, or something similar, but not too much. I think advanced is a fourth-quarter student. Email them and see what they have to say. Lemme know what happens.
I don't know if I'm going to continue with it though. After going to gymnastics today, I say fuck Kung Fu. Yes, all the teachings are nice and lovely, and I can read the meditations and meditate on my own, but fuck the class. I was very close to doing a pretty decent front handspring today. There's no way I'm letting gymnastics get away again. Not at all. I also want to take tennis to try it out - I think I'd like it. I never got to take it in Murrow, and I need two different wellness classes to meet requirements. So if tennis is offered, I might do that, along with gymnastics since gymnastics is a club and not a class. But we'll see how I feel in about 5 more weeks.
