Quote: trying to politely not read certain journals
Lolz, that might come in handy! (Kidding, I enjoy all my "real people" ones; I'm just trying to keep the communities separate.) I really like the icon/Photoshop ones I'm in but they have so many posts and a lot of overlap and esp. when I'm on my BlackBerry, they depend heavily on pictures so I'd rather just read actual people's journals. Or when I'm in a hurry, you know? Or the audiobookshare community that I just joined - I'd like to keep all those posts together and read them as a group. I had always thought the Filter Friends was limited to the options LJ set up and none of those worked for me; I didn't even realize you could add communities to it. In fact that's one reason I didn't friend most of my communities originally: because I didn't want them to all show up on my f-list and clutter things up. But if I can filter them to their own group, it's great!
