I posted this yesterday on my regular blog site but I am having a problem with google alerts, and so am posting it here too to see if they work here but not from there.

Also I haven't posted in weeks and you probably think I not lubs you anymore so here's something at least because I know most people don't bother going there, sniff/cry. I had my ( Read more... )

Oh it's gonna be soft and sweet all right. :-) I pretty much have the chords down except there's an F-->D in there that's a little hard to transition but I will get it! I'll work out the piano this weekend. That will be the easy part, for me anyway.

hey, did you record the song eventually? if so, you might want to upload it to remix.nin.com, I guess... :))

Nope, haven't done it yet. The guitar on that is deceptively hard. Quick changes, even at a reduced tempo. Well it's hard for me, probably easy for someone really good on guitar. XD And I've been busy seeing this ... band ... so I haven't had as much time to work on it.

I'm not sure but I thought songs that TR didn't own the rights to couldn't be posted on remix.nin.com? I forget how the rules go there. He doesn't fully own HLAH, Interscope does. I don't spend enough time on there to see, do other people upload remixes of his older stuff?

yes they do :) as I understand it, TR cannot give us multitracks for early stuff, but he hosts everything people upload. He only asked not to use copywrited music by other musicians.

Hah, and they say early NIN is simple! cannot judge myself coz I don't play guitar AT ALL.... Busy you said? Which show(s) have you been to? :))

It is a technically simple song--the chords are just E-F-D-A-E for the verses, E-A and E for the chorus (all easy chords), but the transitions from F to D are pretty quick and there's this up (strum) / chuck (mute) thing you do between chords and anyway I'm sure it's not hard for Robin but it is for me!

Good to know about the music rights and uploading. I thought I'd just have to put it on my own site and watch out for a DMCA notice.

I have been to Atlantic City, Manchester, and Worcester. Going to Vegas in December. Can't wait! I had the best freakin' time imaginable.
