so my senior year of high school I got whooping cough. for real. like they had to report it to the health department. shit was horrible and lasted about 3 months. you start out with a cold, just a normal sucky cold and then for seriously 100 days after you cough nonstop, but aside from that you'd be normal. ah New York. there are not words to describe how wonderful it was. it was just like the movies! it was so dirty and overcrowded, but so beautiful. the subway was a blast and so damn cheap. public transit at it's best. and the art museums... it breaks my heart to be so far away from so much amazing and influential art.
