Basically, it's mocking the idea that one can "not see gender, just see people". Because we are, all of us, hard-wired to react in unconscious ways to different genders. Visual cues, pheromone cues, social conditioning, etc.

It's a laudable ideal, in some people's minds, to be "gender-blind"...to not see gender, but just people. But it's also a largely unattainable goal, so people who claim to have attained it are much more likely to be indulging in insufficient introspection than they are to have actually mastered gender-blind perception.

So the comic is pointing out that while this may be a laudable goal, actually claiming it to be true for yourself probably doesn't give other people either the message that you're gender-blind, or a warm and fuzzy feeling about how you're really seeing them, not their gender.
