Sometimes our litigous society pays off... I am not a war monger by any means, but hate the policy makers, not the policy enforcers, and never, ever, destory the memory of a fallen soldier. You may not agree with why he fights, but he was there fighting and dying... I am an odd patriot that way... but I have too many friends and friends of friends over there to not have an opinion...
I completely agree there. I don't like the "reasons" for the war we're fighting. I don't like the leaders we've chosen by and large. But it's asinine to demonize people who are doing their best to follow the decisions made by our leaders. Protest the leaders, protest the policies, but don't protest the good people who have the unfortunate job of enforcing those decisions.
This was on the radio yesterday when I was on my way home from work (I didn't end up working and took Amy trick or treating YAY) and we were explaining it to Amythest. I am SO glad someone finally stood up to these bastards. That's a LOT of money...especially in punitive damages. Which I looked up. To make sure...and I hope it deters them. I'll be watching this one.
Yeah, I wish I could say that I'm above petty hatred and all that shit, but really, I just kinda want them all to die horribly. Preferable while publicly engaged in a giant gay orgy.
