Whereas I have nothing to add on the topic of your post, your message being as usual comprehensive and true as far as I'm concerned, I am really willing to specify some aspect of the English grammar here :) Notably do you consider it possible to use the Present Perfect with "once", which is in my opinion a definite specific time expression here? indeed, it is a very fair remark: I should have written "once read". Besides, one would definitely object to my usage of 'recalled' immediately after the word 'just' instead of 'have recalled' (as I stuck to the British-English norm).
