Every so often, I find myself in the thankless position of seeing someone's computer loaded with spyware and crap that they put on it. I don't care anymore about people's excuses like "I don't know how that got on there," or "It didn't used to do that." It's not important how people break their computers as long as they realize what broke it and ( Read more... )

If you were to stack the words in this post end-to-end, they would stretch to the sun and back 10 times.

Shut up. You've never had a real job in your life. Real jobs require you run yourself into the ground AND deal with the stupidest elements of society AND SMILE WHILE YOU ARE DOING SO!

Um...I have the retail version of Norton Anti-virus 2.0 (still in the box, still using 3.5" floppies). I heard that Norton was da best. Should I install them to protect my comp? AVG can't be any good since it's free. I'm a certified tech, and I know these things...

=0) Just trying to be another customer. hehe. I do actually own that version of Norton Anti-virus. Sad as that may be. Some of your stories have similar counter-parts in the retail world. There are all types of people in this world. If only they'd let us have the Customer Appreciation Bat~!

"My computer doesn't work"
**Looks and sees 300 spyware, 200 pr0n dialers, and 45 programs running in the background**
"It's full of malware and it needs to be cleaned."
"I'm not going to pay for that. I didn't put it there!"
**smash, smash, crack, splatooie**
"You, you, you just destroyed my computer!"
"No. I just put it out of its misery."

Remember boys and girls, computers run on magic smoke. Once that smoke escapes, the computer will no longer work.

I like the magic smoke idea. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Same with the customer appreciation bat.

*THMACK!* - the sound of another satisified customer... satisfying for me that is!

Hey, don't complain about having to walk through a doctor's office several times in one day; think about how many times -I- have to do it! Not only that, but I have to directly DEAL WITH all those coughing folks. >8U I could actually write a similar entry about people who don't take care of their bodies.

That said, I'm glad you're in charge of OUR network. ^_^

At least as a Doctor, you are allowed to wear a flu mask. As a computer guy, I get NOTHING but SICKNESS!

I feel your pain. Come, let us set their homes on fire with them still inside and urinate on them as they run out (we'd call it "helping them").
