Clementine growers can feel free to pay me to take advert photos... Oh wait. :-)

Fresh-squeezed orange juice is one of the BEST things pretty much any time. :)

I'm surprised a little surprised that clementine juice is strong enough to be tasty -- they're pretty mild for citrus. But my notion of what OJ should be like is colored by the very strong oranges from the tree in the yard where I grew up.

I envy you your gorgeous day. Yesterday we had icky slush.

Oooh, you had an orange tree growing up? I wished for fruit trees when I was little. I think these clementines, while tasty-sweet, probably don't have the punch to compare with "very strong" oranges. They're not super acidic. Actually, the real reason they get juiced is because they have seeds and izmirian likes his citrus delivery method seed-free.

Gorgeous day is courtesy of our tax dollars at work. (j/k ;-)

The orange tree was probably accidental; it was originally in a narrow gap between the carport and the back fence, and very unhappy. After removing the carport (and putting a gargage in closer to the street), Dad started taking care of the orange tree, and it veeeery slowly started moving towards being a healthy productive tree. It produces almost-normal oranges now, but for a while it produced very strong oranges with a lot of very bitey orange oil in the peels ... and those are what I made orange juice out of, so I expect fresh-squeezed juice to be really strong.

Thanks! I definitely spent time thinking about this shoot and hopping around trying for good angles and lighting. If you're ever in the area and the tree is producing, you're more than welcome to stop by for a taste. :-)
