Oh my God! This is so good, and I really wasn't expecting that confrontation with the past at the end -- Chekov saying that older!Chekov is ruining everything -- ahh, I'm so curious!

And the love story is just devastating. The way Sulu is obviously already yearning for Chekov and heartbroken by the idea that they don't end up together ... Chekov's memories of Sulu and their life, his sadness, that idea that this flower is about to bloom NOW of all times - ;__;

“No,” Sulu fires back, “I’m more than happy to kick your ass for free.”

That was really hot. Your Sulu voice is so great! On to part 2 ...

Thank you so much!! I adore Sulu, so I'm very relieved his voice worked. It was a challenge to try to get across his turmoil while (hopefully) avoiding wangst territory.

This story really ended up being a lot sadder than I had anticipated. It was a lot of fun to imagine all the details of their history together, all their little habits and the stupid married couple stuff they squabbled about. But then, poor Chekov.

I hope Part 2 and onward are OK too...

Part 2 is great so far -- I got interrupted in the middle by leaving work, and now I'm sitting down to finish reading, yay. :D

Oh my goodness, this is AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING HOLY HELL AMAZING AMAZING! I love grouchy professor Chekov and his descent into darkness after losing Hikaru and Hikaru coming and the bits about their past and Chekov trying to cheer him up by taking him to the wharf and the coffee encounter and the time travel mess up and young Chekov screaming and oh my goodness, I'd list everything but I HAVE to go to part 2 right this instant. omg, I'm typing fast.
