Holy wow, bb-- you knocked this out of the park. *stares in gaping awe* I love the idea of nerd!Hikaru not quite comprehending how he ended up with this BAMF!rep and Chekov being all defensive of him. I love how seamlessly they work together, at the helm and fighting. I love Kirk's broken off 'abandon ship' which is so painful, because holy hell-- Captain Kirk abandoning ship? *whimpers* And And maybe there's some truth to Sulu's reputation after all, since he doesn't react so much as detonate. was such a powerful transition. Wow, really packed a punch. The action fighting sequences are sooooo well written! I find those so difficult to write and you managed them beautifully-- full of fast-paced action, hard blows, gritty reality, and with such quick power that I could almost hear the soundtrack from Serenity playing in my head, when River kicked Reaver ass. I'm amazed that Sulu held up so well, and yet strangely not surprised-- if anyone could, it would be Sulu ( ... )

Oh lord, thank you! I don't feel like I've written anything this action-y, so it's good to hear that worked. I love Starfleet!Officer!Chekov and Sulu, so that was fun to try to write.

holy hell-- Captain Kirk abandoning ship? *whimpers*

Haha, I KNOW! In my mind, somewhere offstage from the main action of this story, Kirk is totally churning with plans to somehow nuke the Enterprise from within and get rid of the Reavers. I don't think he'd let the Enterprise stay abandoned forever.

And then Sulu survived-- and I really didn't think he was going to.

Well truth be told, I think I hit my wimpiness wall - there was no way I could kill the poor guy after what he'd just done :D Besides, last-minute transporter saves are a Trek tradition right? Poor old Chekov, I think, might almost come out of this worse than Sulu. I think he'd really beat himself up for "failing" while Sulu would be all "OKAY BUT WE CAN HAVE LIFE-AFFIRMING SEXYTIEMS NOW RIGHT?"

Anyway, thank you so much for reading and for letting me know what you thought :D

Okay so, I loved this. I read it when you first finished it and I loved it so much I was like "GOTTA LEAVE A REALLY GOOD REVIEW!!" Of course all my ~formulating~ of this brilliant review meant I totally fizzled out. But basically this is the action-adventure fighting-sacrificing porn I have been dreaming of for so long in this fandom. Thanks so much for it. ♥

Hee! Well thanks for coming back to it and letting me know :) It was fun to write some straight-up space action. I'm a nerd through and through, lol.

So, I just read your ballet story with Pavel/Hikaru, and as I was wondering over your entries, I spotted this gem!!! I am such a huge "Firefly" fan that I immediately had to read it, and I loveloveLOVED it! Again, thanks for writing this. I adored it.

My god this is amazing. I barely stopped myself from screaming out loud when Sulu released Chekov's escape pod- I thought Sulu was dead for certain. But the ending was perfect and helped to mend my shredded heart, so thank you for that. This was fantastically engineered- the humour and sweetness in the beginning made it like a kick in the face when the darkness and panic hit.

Also, I have been wanting to read a crossover between these two fandoms for-fucking-ever, but have never found one, so thank you for not only writing it, but writing it so well with a pairing that I utterly adore ♥

Thank you! It's been ages since I watched Firefly/Serenity, so I liked the opportunity to do a little homework before I wrote this story. And yes, poor Sulu, in this story I could not bring myself to kill him after what he did... aww.
