a) You friended me first and I knew who you were.

b) sapphire_wyvern's hat, which you always seemed to nick from him.

c) I have lots of respect for all my friends, especially people who are obviously quite intelligent in ways I am not.

d) For some reason I remember you playing the original Magic: the Gathering on a laptop in a 253 (I think) lecture in the Sunderland theatre.

e) [The first thing that I came to mind I discarded, so...] How did you get to 2nd floor, and when did you start hanging around there? I'm pretty sure you were there already when I started hanging around.

f) "kitty" - I think it got me the first time.

b) Yay. That hat was awesome.
d) Oh, yeah, I remember that. I should dig it up and play again.
e) I was interested in Sci-Fi/Fantasy, so I joined FAS. Figured out that people hung around every day of the week, so I went to 2nd floor any time I didn't have class, pretty much.
I want to know what the first thing was now!

a) I can't remember who friended who first, but it was most likely because I knew who you were. (Yes, there is a pattern going on here.)

b) Let me think about it... Shadowrun. And Firefly.

c) I am impressed with your über micro GM-fu. And you running II was pretty good. You are also a fairly good person to run things by and come up with a sensible/second opinion.

d) Manning the II table in 2004, having a guy come up to me and say "I run Shadowrun".

e) (This is something that only struck me the other day.) Why did you choose to study Genetics? Does it tie in with the law stuff or is it something completely different?

f) The fandom one because it's the rip from Yes, Minister.

b) From memory, in your book Shadowrun is a plus and Firefly is a minus. So I work out rather neutral, quiaff?

c) I try, occasionally and fail miserably *grin*

d) Oops.

e) I did well enough in Y12 to get into pretty much everything, except what I really wanted to do (Law) so I poked around and found out about course transfers. I picked genetics because that was the only field of science that I could get really enthused about.

Do you do everything Lap tells you?

a) You friended me first. And I knew who you were.

b) Superman.

c) Your hair.

d) What? What, what? Pardon?

e) I never really thought of you as a Civilization sort of person (well actually the only game you used to talk about was The Sims). Did you play the other Civ games before Civ IV?

f) The one labelled "toonme".

In 2002 I played CivII on a friend's computer and I thought it was completely awesome. When I went home I tried to download it but that was back in the dark ages and I've always been rather n00b at downloading illegal things so the only copy I could find was in Czech. It must have come with english text as well or I found a translator or something because I did play it a bit and really really liked it so I bought Civ3 when it came out and then I bought CivIV :D I have always preferred Turn-based strategy to RTS but until Civ the only game I had like that (turn based) was Deadlock & Deadlock II. Deadlock was SO AWESOME.
