A shit sewing machine is probably the one source of your frustration. I say this because it happens to me; the sewing machine we have is easily twice as old as I am and is also in dire need of a tune-up as well. It's frustrating to no end, and it makes me feel like I'm running out of time (even though I'm not).

I'm currently working on the zippers for my Yoko boots. I tried using the machine but since I had to hold it at such a weird angle to begin with I couldn't get it nearly as close as I would like it to be. So now I'm just handstitching them.
