maybe they need a new agency? one of my favorite YA books growing up was by Mercedes Lackey (Magic's Price series), in which the lead character was gay, and a central point that was discussed (but not OMG HE HAS TEH GAYZ). I'm not sure if the signal boost things work myself, to be honest.

I know I remember that book, to be honest I wasn't a big Fan of Vanyel but I did enjoy the others in the book, the white haired guys that were in the later half of Magic's Price.

I don't think these things really work, I think they jsut need a new angency also. There are a lot more Gay YA fiction out there.

yeah, I mean, why not shop around? if their book is good, it will sell.

to be honest I found Vanyel pretty whiny, i preferred the first two Arrows of the Queen books about Talia instead. :) then the third book got too angsty for me.

Oh And I did too. I don't remember if I even read the third. I got out of my Lackey Phane pretty quickly. I did like the Griffin books though, I enjoyed those a lot.
