I'm posting for the first time since my father's death the first of June. It's been a quiet summer. To be honest, I've hardly been on LJ at all. I miss my dad but feel like I'm beginning to regain my equilibrium and with it, a different sense of myself. I've been staying active, eating right and keeping off the 180 pounds I lost. Sometimes after a major event, it;s necessary to strip back in life and take stock. Sounds like you and Mr. Merc are better for it.

Yeah, I've been a little bit out of comission lately, too. But I'm feeling much better now. Hopefully, I'll have much more time to spend online, even with a new bubs around.

Yeah, time for yourself is always good. And sometimes, if you ignore the urge, the world around you lets you know it's time.

Figured it was about time I got my toeses wet again.

The icon is of some land my dad used to have and dearly loved, up in Ashe County, NC north of Boone.
