The Presidents of the USA? They were the first band I ever saw live! My middle school did a mural for the ground-breaking of the Experience Music Project, and we were invited to watch the show with them, Mudhoney, and The Kingsmen. Afterwards, my friend tried to steal their beer. I still have the autographed poster somewhere, complete w/Chris Ballew's signature balloon-looking smiley saying "Maryana: Rock!" Best show evar!

My second real live show ever was also the Presidents, their "farewell" show at the Paramount. Growing up in Seattle was pretty cool, NBD.

yes! preston told me about this when i met him i think, his recent ex having frolicked around presidentstown. they were my first purchased album at age nine and i feel like it's much too late to take it to the see-live level, but if they were playing with THOSE GUYS.

my first concert was kansas and styx. in the 1990s, with my mother.

credless.

They have replaced the guitbass and bassitar for normal and lame guitar and bass, and one member has left the band to go be old and replaced by a guy with much more product on his hair, but their live show still manages to be completely awesome in every way. I have told you before how during Candy a woman in a banana costume holding maracas danced on stage for a man in brown BVDs and a gorilla mask.

My first concert was Staind, Kid Rock, and Limp Bizkit. I am not ashamed to have done it all for the nookie.

had you reminded me (all i remembered was you not being allowed to smoke, or it being a crappy venue, or something) last night while i was raking my mind for someone who would drive fourteen hours through the night with me i might have been even more reluctant to give up.
