GET OFF MY LAWN YOU DAMNED KIDS

but yeah, seriously. Did music, like, stop in 2002 or so?

Also, I don't buy the losses-due-to-piracy. Losses due to being dinosaur-like and destroying napster, audiogalaxy and the like, sure.

i shifted almost entirely to NPR a while ago. this was pretty much sealed by the time i went to the netherlands for those few months, and i discovered their wealth of podcasts to listen to on the bus on teh way to work.

at first i was afraid i was "getting old" because i didn't like the "new stuff". but then i thought, no. no, that's not it. fer chrissakes. it really does suck. it's hollow. it's formulaic. it's lame. and it's boring as hell.

there's nothing out there anymore. and you've put it in a new perspective that never occurred to me. so thanks, but it doesn't really help, because music still sucks. ;)

however, if you need a new holiday song, dig this: F$@# Christmastime. ;)

I can't wait for the day Pandora will be hooked up to your vehicle. You've checked out that site, right? It's *the best* for hearing new music that you'll enjoy.
