HOW OLD ARE WE, MAN, THAT EIGHTEEN NOW SEEMS TOO YOUNG? I have an 18-year-old Japanese friend, he's such a baby.

Also, I am with Becca, that great platonic friends with the 18-year-old is prooooobably the way to go, or at the very least the way to start out.
