The bonfire is really quite lovely, but I've already caught two students attempting to burn textbooks of all things in the flames! They claimed they were from last year, but still... Why would someone do such a horrible thing as burn textbooks? -

I don't think I'll be going on the Hogsmeade trip this weekend. I'm only six chapters ahead right now in most of my classes, and I still haven't colour-coded my notes for Transfiguration. With most of the school out enjoying the sunshine for the day, it'll be the perfect time to catch up.

I-I'm glad that everything has gone back to normal. I can't believe the horrible things that have happened within our own school halls. I feel somewhat guilty for not being there. Isn't that strange? I am no warrior to fight off dark wizards, but still...

Oh my, I'd wondered where this had gone. I'd almost hoped that Mum had accidentally thrown it out--no Ami, that's negative thinking. I'd nearly forgotten what...quirks...the journals tend to have.
